Kent Roosevelt DECA

Kent Roosevelt DECA is a part of the Marketing Management Career Tech Program at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent Ohio. Roosevelt DECA is taken as a class, but most students learn outside the classroom in the community with their own individualized projects. These projects can vary from Community Giving Projects, Business Growth Plan, Integrated Marketing Campaigns, Independent Business Plans, Financial Literacy Project, Finance Operations Research, and many more options.

DECA has currently more than 219,000 High School Members in over 5,000 classrooms in 3,500 schools across the world.

The Theodore Roosevelt High School DECA chapter has competed at the state and international levels for 35 consecutive years. The Marketing Management program is designed to prepare students with real world experience and develop future leaders in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. Last year at the International Career Development Conference held in Orlando Florida six Kent Roosevelt DECA projects were finalists, one Roosevelt DECA project was in the Top 10, and one group was given DECA glass for winning First Place in the International Career Development Conference for their Independent Business Plan.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
